Welcome to my blog! Writing has always been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. As a child, I used to love writing short stories and poems. During an elementary class (about 4th or 5th grade) I remember having to write weekly stories that we had to share with the class, so I decided to write a series. Every week I would read my story aloud to the class and at the end leave a cliffhanger that I would pick up the following week. 

I attended college as an adult and I thoroughly enjoyed taking Writing/English classes because it gave me an excuse to write creatively again! During my adult life, I dabbled in a variety of different career ventures (and some jobs that were not even close to being careers). I had some very successful ventures but still never lost my passion for writing. Many of my positions required to report or legal writing which is far from the creative writing I longed for. 

In August 2018, I moved my family from Colorado to Nevada and began my career as a background investigator. I LOVED my job but after a little over a year, I was laid off. One of the things I loved most about my job was the flexible schedule and being able to work from home the majority of the time. I have a toddler and teenage twins so the flexible schedule allowed me to be home often. 

After being laid off I dreaded the very thought of putting my toddler in daycare full time. I had been playing with the idea of starting a blog for some time and figured this would be the perfect opportunity to give it a shot! 

During my years on earth, I have lived a lot of life and gained a huge amount of experience in a vast variety of areas. I am hoping that my experience and gained outlook on different areas of life can be of help, inspiration, and encouragement to a variety of readers. My hope is to help people and also use my writing as a healing tool for myself.
